Badgers Roll Through Titans and Warriors

The Badgers finished an exciting weekend of basketball and are carrying a lot of momentum into the second half of the season!

On Friday night, we took a trip to Power to face the Power-Dutton/Brady Titans, the only other team that had yet to suffer a conference loss. The game was back and forth early on, but the boys kept their focus and ended the first quarter up 17-13. The second quarter was much the same, as our defense gave up 13 points while our offense added another 18. The halftime score was in our favor, 35-26.

In the second half, the boys tightened up defensively, and our offense found its groove. We outscored the Titans 44-20 during that stretch and secured sole possession of first place in the district. Final score: Badgers 79, Titans 46.

On Saturday, we returned home to welcome the Heart Butte Warriors. The team seemed to carry momentum from the night before, and our defense was stellar, leading to a 66-14 victory.

This weekend, we’re on the road. On Friday, January 24th, we’ll head to Big Sandy for a rematch against the Pioneers. The JV game begins at 4:30 p.m., and Varsity tips off at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, we’ll travel north to Sunburst to face the Refiners. The JV game starts at 1:30 p.m., followed by Varsity at 4:30 p.m.

Our next home contest is Monday, January 27th, when we’ll welcome Class B Shelby to the gym. The JV game begins at 4:30 p.m., and the Varsity game tips off at 7:30 p.m.
