Badgers Win Season's First Away Game

Friday night, our Badgers hit the road for their first away game of the season, traveling to Simms to take on the Tigers. The change in venue did little to slow the team’s momentum, as they roared to an impressive 20-7 lead by the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was no different, with the Badgers continuing to dominate, heading into halftime with a commanding 31-12 lead.

The second half saw the bench players getting extended minutes, but the team didn’t lose its stride. The Badgers won each quarter and held the Tigers to single-digit scoring in every period, sealing a decisive 66-28 victory.

Standout Performances

- Tyler Lane led the charge with a stellar all-around performance, scoring 22 points while adding 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks.

- Kaden Jorgensen contributed 10 points.

- Trent Lane added 9 points and 7 rebounds.

- Peyton Hauk chipped in 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

- Lane Ethridge scored 4 points and dominated the boards with 10 rebounds.

- Ian McKamey anchored the Badger defense, collecting 6 rebounds and 3 steals while excelling at the critical bottom position of the team’s zone defense.

- Conner Mann, returning from injury, scored his first 6 points of the Varsity season.

- Rowan Konesky made his mark by scoring his first Varsity points, including a three-pointer, for a total of 5 points.

The Badgers were scheduled to host the Shelby Coyotes on Saturday, but winter weather forced the game to be postponed.

Looking Ahead

With a 4-1 overall record and a perfect 2-0 mark in conference play, the Badgers will next face the Augusta Elks in a road game on Friday, January 10th, at 7:30 PM. They will then return home to take on the Valier Panthers on Saturday, January 11th, at 3 PM. Be sure to come out and support your team!
