CEF Holiday Lights Contest Winners

This winter has been abnormally dry and open so far. So much so, it even feels a touch eery around Cascade! Especially when one remembers how Mother Nature typically brings balance to our rugged landscape. Many old timers are predicting some heavy snowfall months ahead of us! Despite the odd December weather, many people around Cascade took out their lights and ladders to light our town into a festive holiday season! The Cascade Education Fund (CEF) board members thank everyone that decorated! All of our previous winners again had exceptional displays. We had a lot of amazing yards to choose from again this year and are pleased to announce this year's winners!

First place and recipients of a $75 prize are Plutes

Second place and $25 goes to Semmlers

And, a shiney honorable mention goes to Darkos

Established in 1984, the CEF functions to distribute scholarships to deserving Cascade High School seniors every year who chose to pursue higher education. The board has one fundraiser at this time and the proceeds raised are put towards scholarships. Each winter CEF hosts a raffle for one half of a locally raised beef (cut and wrapped) that is generously donated by the Dana Ranch Company!

Beef Raffle tickets are available from any board member and are $5 each or three for $10. Board members are John Rumney, Cindy McKamey, Candace Weeda Strobbe, Shelley Rumney and Melody Skogley. Board members will also be selling tickets at home basketball games and wrestling matches.

Tickets are available locally for purchase at Switchback Veterinary Clinic and in Great Falls at The Stein Haus. The winning ticket will be drawn at the high school gym at halftime of the last home basketball game in February. You need not be present to win.
