Fusion Fight League brought Great Falls their final fights of the year with the "Season's Beatings" event on Saturday, December 14. Held at the Four Seasons Arena in the Great Falls ExpoPark, fight fans were treated to an exciting card of skilled fighters, headlined by a bout between Tommy "Gun" McMillen and Genier Penagos.
McMillen, fighting out of Great Falls and representing Team WolfPack, secured a lightning-fast victory, winning via submission just 1:10 into Round 1.
Another standout match of the evening was an MMA fight between Ezra Elliot and Gage Morsette. Elliot, who trains under coach Tim Welch-the coach of former UFC bantamweight champion and Montana native Sean "Suga" O'Malley-is reportedly training with the former champ himself. Elliot claimed another swift victory for the night, ending the bout via submission at 2:01 of the first round.
The co-main event was a historic one, marking the first bare-knuckle brawl in Fusion Fight League history. The matchup featured Samuel "Blunt Force Trauma" Polk against Leo "Bushido" Bercier.
The crowd heavily favored Bercier, with chants of "Leo! Leo! Leo!" echoing through the arena for much of the fight. Initially, this energy seemed to work in Bercier's favor, as he briefly knocked Polk to the ground. However, Polk rebounded and delivered a brutal left hook, securing a knockout victory at 1:40 of the fifth and final grueling round.
This event marked Fusion Fight League's final showcase for 2024. Be sure to mark your calendars for their first event of 2025, "Gold Standard," taking place at First Interstate Arena in Billings on January 18. The main event will feature a pro lightweight title fight between Ayadi Majdeddine, training out of Las Vegas, NV, and the current champion, Montana's own Shea "Man of Steel" O'Neill, fighting out of Butte. Don't miss it!
