Town of Cascade to Consider Sewer Rate Increase

On November 14, 2024, the Cascade Town Council adopted a resolution to raise sewer rates for local residents. The proposed increase is intended to ensure the town can cover the costs of operating and maintaining the sewer system, meet obligations tied to sewer system revenue bonds, and establish necessary financial reserves.

Currently, sewer system users are charged a monthly base rate of $31.78 per equivalent dwelling unit (EDU). The council has determined that a rate adjustment is essential to maintain the system's financial stability and ensure its sustainability for the future.
