Building Bright Futures with STEM: Cascade Schools Partner with STARBASE

Last Tuesday, twenty-four 5th and 6th grade students had the opportunity to use the Lego SPIKE Prime robots and code their robots to complete a couple of challenges. This week, on Nov. 20th, more 5th and 6th grade students participated in the STARBASE Chemistry: Sink or Swim program, engaging in STEM exploration. In the future, we hope to expand our partnership with STARBASE to include every 5th grade student in a week-long program of hands-on STEM exploration.

STARBASE is a program through the Air National Guard that partners with schools to provide supplemental STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) educational experiences. Cascade Schools is excited to collaborate with STARBASE to offer programs at our school this fall (Nov. 12th and 20th) and, hopefully, two more this spring (dates TBD).
