Construction Progress/Schedule from Contractor

Sheet 12 is complete, between manholes 29 and 30

Low spot in pavement is to be fixed.

Need to cap the existing 6-inch main and the 2 services that are tied onto stub outs.

Starting on sheet 13 (Schedule 3) for the next few weeks.

Schedule 2 is complete.

Attempted to locate Airbnb service but did not find it; will need to do some exploratory work to find it.

There is exploratory work on the budget for Central (Schedule 1).

Exploratory work has been done on manholes 32, 33, and 34.

Barry would still like to get forcemain done this fall depending on the status of the RR permit.

Austin to follow up with BNSF; will also draft a letter for the Mayor to sign to try to speed up the process.

Field Changes and/or Field Directives

Manhole elevations – Sheets 13 and 14 revised and re-issued.

Boland to provide an estimated increase in cost due to added depth on Schedule 3.

Fence around the lift station:

Joe got a new bid – will send to Austin.

Change Orders (CO)

Herb is working on sending initial change proposal(s) to Austin.

CO1, CO2, CO3 have been received, and Austin will review. Austin may combine them into one CO.

CO1: CIPP for 10” instead of 8” - $2K

CO2: Adjustments of first alley, 86 ft of line, temporary sewer piping, reconnect sewer service - $24K

CO3: Flowable fill to avoid water main vertical adjustment - $3K

Testing/Quality Control

Compaction testing – Paul is testing with a nuclear densometer.

Asbestos came back clean.

Progress Payments/Pay Request Schedule of Values Review

Pay App 1: Paid.

Pay App 2: Payment forthcoming.

Lexi: Payment is on the way, waiting on voucher number approval from the Department of Administration. Lexi will continue checking to get reimbursement out ASAP, likely next week.

Pay App 3: Expected next week from Boland.

Grant Administration/Certified Payroll

Please submit Certified Payroll and Labor Compliance Documentation to Kasia Little at [email protected] and cc Austin at [email protected].

Kasia says we are good through Week 7, and all has been good so far.

Other Issues/General Discussion

Housekeeping

Low spot in pavement on 2nd Street needs to be repaired.

Next intersection to the school might need extra precautions for kids walking to school.

Halloween precautions as well.

Pete: AIS forms need to be sent to Pete. Austin will send them ASAP.

Hours of Work

Current work hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday – Thursday.

7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (8 hrs) on Fridays.

Daylight savings will change work hours.

Hazards and Risks

Obey speed limits in equipment and vehicles.

Traffic control needs to be in place.

Seatbelts must be worn.

Mayor Seabolt: A gravel truck inadvertently dumped gravel in the street. Reminder to be careful. Boland cleaned it up very quickly and without issue.

All good.

All good – Residents have been notified of upcoming work.
