Construction Progress/Schedule from Contractor:

Construction continues on Sheet 13, on manhole 33. There are two large stretches remaining after manhole 33. Paving is scheduled for Friday.

The lamp hole, located 160 ft, has not been found yet (this is shorter than expected).

Herb is working on a change order proposal for revisions to Sheet 13. The following materials have been added to the manholes on the alignment: (2) 24” barrels and (1) 12” barrel (MH’s 33 and 34). Herb is getting documentation and prices for those barrel sections.

Wrapping up second and first avenues; this could be the last asphalt patch of the year.

RFI’s:

None

Submittals:

A fencing proposal has been received but still needs a submittal. Herb has sent the drawing and proposal, and Austin will send this to Joe. We need to be certain this is AIS compliant, and the fencing contractor is aware, so it shouldn’t be an issue.

AIS certificates: Austin only has one for the manhole rebar. We still need certificates for steel, lid castings, fittings, etc.

Field Changes and/or Field Directives:

Manhole Elevations – Sheets 13 and 14 have been revised and re-issued. Boland will provide an estimated increase in cost due to added depth on Schedule 3. Sheet 14 is completed, and Sheet 13 is in progress.

Fence around the lift station.

Change Orders (CO):

Herb is working on sending initial change proposal(s) to Austin. CO1, CO2, and CO3 have been received, and Austin will review them. Austin may combine them into one CO.

CO1: CIPP for 10” instead of 8” - $2K. Austin needs video and reports from the CIPP; Boland will request and send them to Austin.

CO2: Adjustments for the first alley, 86 ft of line, temporary sewer piping, and reconnecting sewer service - $24K.

CO3: Flowable fill to avoid water main vertical adjustment - $3K.

CO4: Adjustments will be forthcoming for changes to Sheet 13 alignment.

CO5: Fencing – forthcoming.

Testing/Quality Control:

Compaction Testing – Paul is testing with a nuclear densometer.

Asbestos came back clean.

Progress Payments / Pay Request Schedule of Values Review:

Pay App 1 – Paid.

Pay App 2 – Paid.

Pay App 3 – GWE is reviewing.

Grant Administration/Certified Payroll:

Please submit Certified Payroll and Labor Compliance Documentation to Kasia Little at [email protected] and cc Austin at [email protected].

Other Issues/General Discussion:

Housekeeping:

Valve measure downs will be done. There may be adjustments to the manhole or water main, depending on the cost difference.

Erin mentioned the winter shutdown and will need documentation for it.

Austin stated the shutdown will be a change order. He will draft one and send it to Herb. Boland would like a weather day allowance for 11/05. Austin requested the request in writing and suggested he would review the request with the Town.

Hours of work:

Current work hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, working Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (8 hrs) on Fridays.

Daylight savings may change work hours, but they will stay the same for now while there is still daylight.

Work is scheduled through the second week in December, with work expected to reach Central Ave by Thanksgiving.

The crew will work on Veterans Day.

Hazards and Risks:

Obey speed limits in equipment and vehicles.

Traffic control needs to be in place.

Seatbelts must be worn.

Be mindful of school traffic.

Accidents or Injuries:

Update on Brian: He will be out this week. His injury got infected, so he will be out longer.

The first report has been taken care of by Boland. Austin does not need the report at this time. Boland can handle it internally.

Quality of Work and Standards:

All looks good so far. Melanie has no complaints.

Access and Site Concerns:

People are driving through the site, but the sheriff was on site for some of the time.
