Opportunities for Local Nonprofits

Cascade Farmer Market's soapbox last Friday was the Great Falls Area Community Foundation.

Mission: To provide opportunities for visionary philanthropy in the Great Falls area by connecting people who care with causes that matter now and far into the future.

Activities/Programs: The Great Falls Area Community Foundation believes in a thriving and connected community in the City of Great Falls and throughout Cascade County. Our hope is to catalyze that through immersive work and support with our nonprofit organizations and community partners. The GFACF provides annual mini-grant opportunities for local nonprofits to continue their impactful missions as they work to improve our community. We also host two nonprofit training sessions every year, which consist of board basics for nonprofit board members and focused learning sessions for staff. This Giving Book is another program that we offer for the local community to assist with planned giving, legacy building, and creating a resource for financial advisors throughout the state. We are also the hosts of Give Great Falls, the week-long philanthropy event that promotes each individual nonprofit and community partner in late May or early April.
