Junior High Badgers Claim Close Win Over Sugarbeeters

The Cascade Badger Junior High Football Team kicked off their home schedule on September 6th against the Chinook Sugarbeeters. It was a close match, with the Badgers securing a 30-28 victory.

The Badgers started strong with scores from Kalen Vanek and Lane McKamey, jumping out to a 12-0 lead. However, the Sugarbeeters fought back, tying the game by halftime.

In a dominant 3rd quarter, Vanek, McKamey, and Max Poliakiwski all added touchdowns, while the Badger defense held firm, giving Cascade a 30-12 lead going into the 4th quarter.

The Sugarbeeters responded with two early 4th quarter touchdowns, cutting the lead to 30-28. However, the Badger defense stepped up once again, stopping Chinook’s final drive to secure the victory.

The Badgers will be back in action on September 13th as they travel to Simms for a 6 PM kickoff.
