The Cascade Courier Brings Home 3 MNA Awards

The Cascade Courier was presented 3 different awards on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Montana Newspaper Association's 139th annual convention and awards banquet that took place in Kalispell.

The Courier staff received the awards in the Better Newspaper Contest against the other newspapers of similar size/circulation, from around the state. The Better Newspaper Contest is the Montana Newspaper Association's way of thanking the hardworking professionals in the newspaper industry and highlighting their successes and efforts.  The contest recognizes the best in Montana journalism from 2023

"Receiving these awards is evidence of our commitment to excellence. The Cascade Courier remains a strong source of news, editorial content and public notice, serving the community and the county of Cascade since 1910" commented Courier staff member Kimberly Boettger.

Ray Castellanos, Editor and staff writer, received the first-place award for "Best General News Photo" that accompanied his corresponding article "Gathering of Families-Traditional Horse Games".

Another first-place award was granted to Jeb Boettger, Graphic/Layout Designer, for his hard work and design of the "Best Page Layout & Design" for the Cascade PRCA Rodeo page layout.

A joint, first-place award for "Best Front-Page Design" was granted to the Design/Photography team of Boettger/Castellanos for their Cascade PRCA Rodeo Edition front page.

Our dedicated staff works hard to provide our readers and local businesses with journalism and advertising they can trust. The Courier is always researching innovative marketing ideas for the benefit of our local businesses. We appreciate the readers and businesses that support their local newspaper. Without that support legitimate, local coverage would disappear. The Cascade Courier is proud to be a "Made in Montana" & "Native American Made in Montana" designated publication.
