Cascade Hosts First Ever Northern C Divisional Volleyball All-Star Game

History was made Friday evening as the Northern C all conference players from Districts 6C and 7C met at Cascade High School's North Gym for the FIRST-EVER Northern C Divisional All-Star Volleyball Showcase Game! The event was organized by Cascade coach, Liz Edmundson.

Coached by Belt's Christine Gondeiro, District 6C team consisted of Cascade's Sophia Mortag and Braedyn Johnson, Belt's Danika Lords, Augusta's Hattie Orem and Abigail Barrett, Simms' Kylie Harrison and Grace Johnson, Great Falls Central's Kellie MacDonald and Mataya Horner, and Power-Dutton-Brady's Leslie Ostberg.

The District 7C team was coached by Jordan Miller of Chester-Joplin-Inverness. The team consisted of Fort Benton's Angeline Riener and Sarah Clark, CJI's Lily Wickum and Brynn Kammerzell, Centerville's Haedynn Plum, Elie Hutchins, and Maddi Adams, and Big Sandy's Eva Yeardon, Kiera Galbavy, and Jai Baumann.

Coach Gondeiro and Coach Miller had each led their squads to their district championships last fall.

It was a fabulous event; a real opportunity for these athletes to showcase their skills and knowledge of the game.

It was a five-set event . In the end, it was the 7C team winning the first four sets, with team 6C winning the last one. Congratulations to all the players and their coaches, and to coach Liz Edmundson for bringing this All-Star game to Cascade!
