Cascade Kindergarteners Publish New Superhero Book

The last time we saw Mrs. Culp's kindergarteners, they were sitting on the small hill in the elementary playground, intently looking up at the sky, with their special glasses, with the hope of possibly getting a glimpse of what was supposed to be the event of the year, a total solar eclipse. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate that day to the disappointment of, not only them, but the rest of us in Cascade.

The sun disappearing is not really an unusual event. Solar eclipses happen more often than we think. However, the moon disappearing is totally something else altogether. (Hmmm, that would make a great story!)

The book, "Super Cool Super Kids", written and illustrated by Mrs. Culp's Kindergarten class, Cascade School 2023-24, features her students as the Super heroes of the story, as they use their individual super powers to discover the mystery of the missing moon. What a great idea - giving your students a keepsake of their kindergarten years that they will cherish for a lifetime!

A note to the parents at the end of the book reads, "We think you will agree that this is an exceptional book. A tremendous amount of time and effort went into creating this book. The students learned a great deal about the publishing process, while they improved their vocabulary and writing skills. Plus, being a young published author gives a sense of pride and accomplishment. Your child is very fortunate to have a teacher who provides innovative activities that enhance their educational experience." -Studentreasures Publishing
