Nile Style Show and Shrine Child

Members of the Great Falls Nile No. 3 will be holding their annual luncheon and style show KALIEDOSCOPE OF FASHION on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Heritage in Great Falls. The event starts at 11:00 am with a social hour in advance of the luncheon at noon. This will give those attending an early opportunity to review and bid on silent auction items, buy raffle tickets for a gorgeous quilt and gift cards, 50/50 tickets and visit with friends. The style show will start after the luncheon with fashions modeled from many local stores. At the end of the show the drawing for the raffle items and the 50/50 drawing will take place.

This is the Great Falls organization’s major fund-raising for Shriners Children’s as the hospitals are now called! The one and only charitable endeavor for Daughters of the Nile is Shriners Children’s and their network of medical facilities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  They are renowned for providing the highest quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries, cleft lip and palate, and many other special healthcare needs within a compassionate family centered and collaborative care environment. There is never a charge to families of children helped by the Shriner’s hospitals regardless of their ability to pay. In North America Daughters of the Nile contribute monetary donations of over $2 million annually to Shriners Children’s through their foundations.  Since 1914, they have contributed over $74 million and with monies contributed from the Canadian Trust, the total would be $80 million.

This year Great Falls Nile No. 3 members are proud to introduce two year old Parker Shirley. Parker was born with Vertical Talus, a condition where his feet were 180 degrees backwards. He was also born without knee caps. He has already had correctional surgery on his feet with future surgical procedures to give him knee caps. Parker has been treated at Shriners Children’s in Spokane where his condition is reviewed every six months.

The Daughters of the Nile’s show is one of the most popular annual events in Great Falls, looked forward to each year by locals and others from around Montana. Advance tickets for the luncheon/style show are $30 each and are available from Great Falls Nile No. 3 members or may be purchased by calling 406-454-3786.
