Happy 2024 Everybody!
This is a bit overdue but it appears that I am a bit overdue on most things lately. Just not my library books. HA! Anyway...
The Cascade Women’s Club would like to take this time to thank everyone and I mean EVERYONE for the success of our Craft Fair in November. We want to thank the vendors. Without you, there is no craft fair. Your hard work and talents get people on the roads and headed to Cascade. We appreciate what you bring to the table… Literally. Our table sales were the most on record and the feedback we got from patrons proved they really enjoyed the variety and goods on hand. That brings us to the buyers. THANK YOU! You made this year a raging success. We had vendors tell us they had their best year yet in sales. If vendors didn’t this year, I bet they do next year. HA! You guys bought crafts, you bought raffle tickets, you bought soup and tacos in a bag, and you bought baked goods from community members. Thanks community bakers! Our bake sale table did fantastic and it is because of all the wonderful locals who strapped on an apron and busted out some flour. The goods were oh so delicious and filled our coffers for another year of giving.
Speaking of raffle: Our winners this year were Kailey Ryan and Howard Maxwell. Kailey won the family fun basket and Howard won the Yeti basket.
Because of the graciousness of all involved, we will continue to give money to the food cupboard, the fire station, the pool, the library, kids basketball, wrestling, and baseball. HOBY, the Cascade PTA, and the Cascade BPA. We are willing to give to other causes too… Just let us know what is going on and how we can help. Besides the community monetary donations, we help clean at the cemetery before Memorial Day, we provide gifts for the kids at the school to give their moms at Mother’s Day. We look for ways at our monthly meetings to learn as well as give back to the community we love so much. Thanks again to everyone and looking forward to the good that can be done in this new year.
