Atkinson Pool gets NEW Room Floors with a Grant Awarded from the Friends of the Black & Gold

Cascade, MT (12/26/2023) – Friends of the Black & Gold is proud to award the Atkinson Pool in Cascade a $2,000 Micro-Grant. Funds for this grant were raised at the past Black & Gold Ball and Auction.

"The Splash-a-Roo Committee has provided funding for numerous pool improvements in recent years to make the pool safer and more appealing for all who are looking for a great place to cool off in the summer." says Jodie Campbell, Splash-a-Roo committee member. "The Friends of the Black & Gold grant will be used in addition to funds raised at the last Splash-a-Roo pool fundraiser to complete the resurfacing of the pool locker room floors."

"Our primary goal is to provide a safe space for our kids, residents and visitors to relax and enjoy the days of summer. The secondary goal is to reduce the maintenance time and costs of the pool and we thank Friends of the Black & Gold for their support of this project." says Campbell.

Friends of the Black & Gold is committed to inspiring enthusiasm, developing ideas and generating funds to support and enrich youth and family activities in Cascade and surrounding communities. Through members of Cascade, Wolf Creek and Ulm, working to raise funds, we are able to offer this grant program. The Micro-Grant Program enables us to boost the activities available to the kids and families in our communities as well as provide an opportunity for other community organizations to do the same.

Any group involved with youth and family activities in Cascade, Wolf Creek, and Ulm may apply. For more information follow us on Facebook and Instagram or find our Micro-Grant application at: http://bit.ly/BG_Grant_Application.
