Celebrating Christmas With Cascade Public Schools

Cascade Schools presented the JH/HS Christmas Concert this past Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the North Gym, featuring 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands, as well as the Cascade Concert Band. Special guests again this year were the Christmas Tuba Players. Along with Traditional Christmas music, there were also German and English Carols, as well as a Japanese Folk song and a little Salsa duet. One of the highlights of the night was a beautiful flute solo rendition of "Silent Night" by 6th grader Madison Jennings.

On Thursday night, the school presented its annual Christmas Elementary Program, followed by a Pie Social and an opportunity to take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Mrs. Hardy's students' art work was also displayed in the commons for parents and attendees to admire.

So much preparation went into its production, and, of course, no one was disappointed! The entire program was emceed by 5th grade narrators Richard, Winter, Zoe, Kassidy, Taerin, Kapri, Messina and James, who presented each number. Haiku poems were read by the 4th graders who wrote them. Always a crowd pleaser, proud parents and others in attendance were "WOWED" by the program, as they took pictures and videos of the performances.

Thanks to all the teachers who prepared their students for this wonderful event: Kindergarten - Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Culp; 1st grade - Mrs. K. Allen; 2nd grade - Mrs. Pepos; 3rd grade - Ms. E. Allen; 4th grade - Ms. Holton; 5th grade - Mrs. Corder. Special thanks, of course, goes to musical Director, Mr. Jeff Skogley.
