On Tuesday the 14th, Cascade School held its annual Family Reading Night. Families walked through the library doors and entered Camp Read-a-lot. Students and their families were able to make bookmarks, play mad libs and word games, use finger flashlights to spot 'sight words in the stars', read together in a cozy teepee, and grab a s'mores treat. Every student went home with an armful of books, a finger flashlight and a 'reading buddy' stuffed animal donated by Scheels Sporting Goods. Parents were able to get information on reading activities and routines to do at home. Cascade's elementary teachers were all in attendance, manning the stations and having a great time with their students. Keep an eye out for dates for Family Math Night this spring.
