Wheels for the World was started by a young lady, Johnny Eareckson Taylor, who has been in a wheelchair since childhood. Bob Radcliff became involved in the ministry about 10 years ago, when he was a youngster at 74. Now at 84 he's passing the baton to anyone that would be interested in this ministry. Bob has been all over MT and Idaho packing up donated wheelchairs. Some of the donors are nursing homes, hospitals, and medical supply warehouses. Bob picks up the wheelchairs and brings them back to his place on Hwy 434. When he has collected enough to bring a truck in for, he calls and arranges for a pick-up. Walmart and private individuals have been instrumental in delivering these chairs to federal prisons in WA and KS, where they are refurbished by inmates. The womens prison in Atlanta, GA refurbish the cushions and then are sent all over the world. Bob's last load was picked up last week, 96 wheelchairs, and 30 cases of parts, and was loaded in 30 minutes. Bob wishes to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, 12 not counting himself, that showed up to help load. 3 guy's he didn't even know!! We thank Bob for his many years of devotion to this project and hope that someone else will now follow in his footsteps to keep this going!
