Homecoming Week Sights

It was a hectic Homecoming Week at Cascade and so much to cover for this aging reporter/photographer, but it was so much fun!! The school had dress up days all week. On Wednesday, I stalked some students going to pick up some lunch at the 468 store on "Wear a Letter Day" (Scrabble Wednesday). There was a Pep Assembly at the school on Thursday, with games and the introduction of the sport teams by the coaches. There was volleyball against GFCC later that day. Friday saw the Homecoming Parade, led by our own Mr. Skogley and the Cascade Schools band. Following the parade, there was a carnival at the school, followed by football games against Lone Peak and featuring the Coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen and their Homecoming Court, the announcement of the "Kiss the Duck" winner (Tina Mann), and a Homecoming Dance to wrap up the evening. Saturday morning Cascade hosted a cross country track meet, and that was followed by the annual Cascade Fire Department's Pancake Supper (great food!). Whew! What a week!! I sure hope you're supporting your local paper by subscribing. We try real hard to please!
