Fun Time in the Summertime!

The weather was HOT, but the spirits were high, and the games were on! It was the Annual SPLASH-A-ROO Fundraiser at the Atkinson Park this Saturday, and it seemed like the whole town came out to support the Atkinson Pool and to just have a good old-fashioned, small-town, family fun time! There was something for everyone, from a kids' triathlon, to a carnival, to food and other vendors, a cake walk, a chili cook-off, live country music provided by Shakedown County, and even a Chicken Poop Bingo! That Chicken Poop Bingo was not rigged; I know because I know that chicken personally, and she didn't come through for me! In fact, so much was going on that at the end of the day, I was exhausted! And if I was tired, I can just imagine the toll it took on those who worked hard to organize this. Great job guys!! Until next time...
