All Decked Out for Prom

Cascade High School held its Prom this past Saturday at the Great Falls International Airport.

PROM is short for a promenade dance, a dance party for high school students. Held toward the end of the school year, "kids" that one normally sees in shorts, t-shirts and sneakers throughout the year, suddenly transform into handsome young men in suits, and beautiful women in gowns. And just like that, one begins to believe that there really is hope for the future!

What happened to those once goofy, awkward, and insecure kids? The students I witnessed at the Prom now showed maturity, confidence, poise and grace. Parents and those teachers who have been instrumental in their development can be proud. When we see what is happening in the world outside our little community, we can rest assured that our sons and daughters have been raised with the proper values. They will go out and make a difference. They will change the world! Proud of you guys!!
