The Cascade High School golf team is heading to Divisional May 8th in Bozeman. It has been a typical golf season with many tournaments cancelled or rescheduled due to the weather. The team finally had a full schedule with tournaments in Shelby, Ft Benton and Choteau last week. That made 5 for the season so far with 2 more this week before heading to Cotton Wood Hills golf course.
There are 7 boys and 3 girls this year and they are improving every day. All of the golfers that travelled to Choteau last Saturday shot personal best rounds. On the girls side, Audrey Rumney led with 116, followed by Novah Smith with a 117. Both finished in the top 15. Hannah Mazaira was the other Lady Badger with a 128.
Boys were led by Deyton Raether with a 95, which put him in solo 12th place. Carson Freed was next with a 104, Jeremiah Creveling with 120, Keegan Hawn with 121, and Drake Lange, 128. Badger boys that could not attend were Jacob Marko and Jacob Golie. This is a very young golf team with only one senior, so the future looks very bright.
State will be in Great Falls at Anaconda Hills May 16-18th.
