History Comes Alive!

If only we could step back in time to talk to some of our favorite historical figures that we've loved reading so much about in school Last Thursday, the North Gym at Cascade Public Schools became a portal to history, a time machine if you will, full of characters from days gone by. It was the Second Annual Historical Wax Figure Museum, featuring Kourtney Holten's 4th grade class, and Amanda Brown's World History class.

The students selected a character they wished to portray, did their research, and dressed up in period dress to represent their heroes, as parents, community members, teachers and other students came in to learn about these characters who made their mark in history. So many characters were represented that there was not enough time in the hour to visit with all of them. The participants were well-prepared and did their counterparts proud! What a cool way to learn history!
