From March 23-31, eleven students (Tyler Lane, Ian McKamey, Edward Formell, Hal McGregor, Garrett Price, Nordika Goetze, Brayden Davis, Izaak Munski, Sterling Byrnes, Audrey Rumney, and Sophia Mortag) traveled to Washington DC and New York. The Cascade Government Class was able to have Former Governor Brian Schweitzer zoom call on 2/20/24. One of the class assignments is to write to Montana, U.S., or World government representatives and one of the senior students wrote to Mr. Schweitzer to ask him questions about while he was the governor. On 12/19/23 the Cascade Government visited the Great Falls District Courthouse. The students were given a tour of the judge's chamber, records rooms, cells, and tower. Next, with the guidance of Judge Grubich, the students put on their mock trial. A woman was bitten by a dog and her rose flowers were destroyed, so she went to court against the dog owner.
